Leslie Rule's search for ghosts has taken her from Key West, Florida,
to Whitefish, Montana; from San Diego, California, to Old New Castle,
Delaware; from Salem, Massachusetts, to San Antonio, Texas AND BEYOND.
"I've found credible witnesses who have seen ghosts in just
about every place I've visited," says Leslie, who grew up in a
family of writers in a haunted house in Des Moines, Washington.
The true stories featured in her latest best-selling books
include in depth accounts of the following:
The Ghostly Lady in the Boston Hotel:
The modern hotel was built atop the site of the city's most
deadly fire. The Coconut Grove was a popular nightclub until the fatal
night in 1942 when 492 people died in a flash fire. At least one poor
soul is still earthbound in the place she took her last breath. The
shocking details are revealed.
The disgruntled spirit of serial killer Aileen
Wuronos:
What kind of
mischief does the murderess make at the Port Orange, Florida, bar where
she was arrested? Read chilling accounts from actual witnesses.
The Haunting by the Donner Party in Truckee, California:
Dozens of pioneers perished when they became snowbound in the
Sierra Nevada mountain range in the late 1840s. The nation was shocked
when some of the starving people resorted to cannibalism. Some
historians have accused one survivor of murdering children so he could
live on their flesh. Read the horrifying story and accounts of the dead
pioneers' ghosts, and see the photo of an actual ghost captured at the
fatal site by a startled photographer. And many more

Jason Sweeton, a clinical researcher for the FDA, was not
looking for ghosts when he snapped this photo on the site where
Donner campers starved to death.
He was shocked to discover the face of the child in the bottom
right hand corner of the photograph. Jason had been alone on
the trail. Where had the mysterious little boy come from?
Jason was, perhaps, more shocked when I told him that one
small boy in that fateful campground did not die of natural
causes.
